Summer is the perfect time to catch up on reading. Of course, as a stay-at-home mom my schedule is pretty much the same, but I still like to squeeze in a few more books. I’m dividing this into two sections.
Books I’m Re-reading
I am a chronic re-reader. As much as I love the first journey with new characters, I like to go it again. As a writer, I find myself noticing the little hints the author gives, and I learn so much about the writing craft.
This is one of the first books I read by Becky Wade. It’s also her debut novel. It’s a stand-a-lone. If you haven’t read anything by Becky Wade, this would be a good book to start with.
This is the first series I read by Denise Hunter starting with The Accidental Bride. The title caught my attention first. I mean, how do you become an accidental bride? So worth reading all three of these books.
This book might make you shed a few tears. I read it first as a teen, again as an adult, but I haven’t read it in years. I can’t wait to pick it up again.
With this book, bring lots of chocolate. If you want a swoony romance, you’ll find it here. Check out my review.
The first book in Julie Lessman’s Isle of Hope series, this book is my favorite. There are twists and romance and huge elements of forgiveness. I can’t recommend this book enough.
Some of these books are new releases, but others are just books I’m visiting for the first time. Either way, I can’t wait.
I am currently reading this book. So far, amazing!
Oh my word, this cover! I’ve only read one book by Jennifer Slattery, but she has a very unique style. I can’t wait to read her next book.
Not only a new-to-me book, but a new-to-me author.
The title is intriguing isn’t it? The word ‘almost’ especially. Another new-to-me author.
My critique partner highly suggested I try Dani Pettrey’s books. I don’t read much suspense, but I’m looking forward to this one.
Lisa Jordan is another new-to-me author that was recommended by…someone. Remember reader friends, if you like a book, tell your friends. Several of the books on my list are because of recommendations.
I love the cover and (my husband loves the horse.)
I’m so thrilled for the opportunity to review this book. Keep an eye out for my review this month. If you’d like to keep a closer eye, like my Facebook page.
I loved the last Roseanna M. White book I read, so I immediately signed up to review A Name Unknown.
