About the Book
“Do you find yourself struggling to get something applicable for yourself out of your Bible reading? I have created a Bible/prayer journal to help myself delve deeper into God’s Word. It helps me glean things to apply to my everyday life. I have learned so much about who God is and who He wants me to be by using this journal. If you want to try this journal out for yourself it is available for sale now! I make these 8 1/2in. by 11 in. journals to last for three months. The paper is a 24lb weight so it is thick enough that the ink will not bleed through even when using gel inks. There is a page for each day of those months for you to journal. There is an area to include memorization for the week, learn who God is, write a short prayer, request, praise, and confessions. I also have a specific prayer request page to pray more deeply and purposefully. Here are some categories: Yourself, your husband, family, missionaries, church, country, children, friends, and finances. If you would like to purchase one for you or a friend, please click on the link below! Please do not use these pages without permission from me. When purchased, you will receive your devotional without the watermark. If you are wanting to do a bulk order, contact me for pricing details! I try to offer a discount to help you get these into the hands of the ladies in our communities! Let’s draw closer to God together!” – Sharon Capps
About the Author
Sharon Capps is a loving wife and mother of two. She’s an accomplished photographer always looking for new places to shoot and models to pose. A glimpse example of her photography, combing beauty with artistic flair, is to the right. Here’s a link to her blog: Our Love Journey as Mr. and Mrs.
When Sharon asked me to review her Bible journal, I was thrilled. The title ‘Delve Deeper’ is precisely on point. I had been looking for a complete devotion journal as a companion to my Bible. I wanted a resource for pursuing a deeper relationship with God, and that’s exactly what this journal is. The journal she created allows for three months of entries. There’s a place to copy Scripture memorization, which is essential for me. I’ve always learned through writing and having that section allowed me to purpose in my heart to memorize Scripture.
Each day comes with suggestions for who to pray for. An example: Sunday, you pray for the church and pastors. On Monday, you pray for your husband and husband’s family. (I would suggest that if you aren’t married, you pray for your future husband and in-laws.)
Each entry is divided into two sections labeled ‘Talk to God’ and ‘Allow God to Talk to You.’ I love both areas because they provide a direction for my prayers and make me think critically about what I am reading – to learn more about who God is and what God wants me to do. There are places for both application and notes. It’s an amazing companion to personal Bible Study! I highly suggest utilizing this journal to deepen your personal relationship with God.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
